For more than 20 years, the Jewish Healing Center of Los Angeles has walked side-by-side with individuals and families during their darkest hours. But the world has changed in the past few months, and what used to be a constant but small flow of people going through crisis is now a tidal wave.
Every one of us has been directly impacted by this pandemic. None of us knows how long it will last. JHCLA is here to comfort and guide those who are reaching out for help during these unparalleled times of need.
Our Covid-19 services include:
- We offer regular or one-time sessions with hospice patients, their families and any individual reaching out to JHCLA for spiritual support, through virtual meetings, one-on-one phone calls and in-person visits when these can be safely managed.
- We support healthcare professionals on the frontlines, including psychotherapists, by creating confidential space to process their stress and recharge themselves.
- We offer pandemic Bereavement Counseling, a cornerstone of JHCLA’ s services. We are innovating workarounds for families that are denied access to their family members at the time of death, families who are not allowed to conduct funerals and those who are denied the grief support of their communities.
